Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) administered by the Australian Research Council (ARC), in its ERA 2018 evaluation report released recently (late March 2019), offered Distributed Computing research at the University of Melbourne highest rating (5 - "well above" world standard). ERA is Australia's national research evaluation framework that identifies and promotes research excellence in Australia's higher education institutions.
