-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Rajkumar Buyya, along with his PhD student Saurabh Garg and collaborator Professor Howard J Siegel, has received the Best Paper Award at the 32nd Australasian Computer Science Conference (ACSC 2009, Wellington, New Zealand, Jan. 2009) for his work on "Scheduling Parallel Applications on Utility Grids: Time and Cost Trade-off Management". The paper was co-authored by Abell Endowed Chair Distinguished Professor from Colorado State University, USA who visited the GRIDS Lab during June 2008. The paper has received two awards: (1) the Best Paper Award ($1000) and (2) the Best Student Award ($500) sponsored by CORE, which is an association of university departments of computer science in Australia and New Zealand.
