Emerging Technologies Toolkit Configuration Tool Help

The port number and host name fields are used to modify the port location URLS in the demo and sample WSDL files. Be sure the port number and host name you specify are the actual ones you used to configure your application server. The port and hostname values you specify are saved in the wstkProperties.xml file.

Instructions

NOTE: The WebSphere server must be running.

NOTE: If you are using WebSphere standalone (without the IBM HTTP Server) the port number should normally be set to 9080 (instead of the default value of 80). Please be sure that you enter the correct port number for your server configuration.

Tomcat

This configuration tool will update demos and samples as well as creating a war file in the Jakarta-Tomcat webapps directory.

Instructions

The Force Configuration checkbox is provided to force the reconfiguration of the toolkit on the application server. Configuration will happen automatically the first time you use the configuration tool. Subsequent uses of the configuration tool will not reconfigure the toolkit for an application server unless changes in the server configuration were detected or unless the Force Configuration checkbox is selected.
